I think it's amazing that you remember the name of your 2nd grade teacher who badgered you about being a left-handed kid.
As to your niece - kids might not understand why correct spelling is important for the written word. Do you think your niece understands why it's important? She might although still think it less important when communicating with family in a casual email.
The ending music was very pleasant - like a lullaby. Why not try some Diamanda Galas sometime in the future? :O
